The Evangelion Movie Trailer
Evangelion: R

Death and Rebirth, as shown in Japan,is a "two-part" single movie that showed together. The Deathsegment of the movie consists of episodes 1-24. The Rebirth segment begins 2 weeks after the end of episode 24. It is 2/3rds of the remade episode 25 entitled "Air / Love is Destructive".
Rebirth is episodes 25 and 26. However, there is new footage involed in the movie that explains some of the confusing story points. Rebirth is composed of almost entirely new footage, along with a different ending...

With the newer footage, it leads into The End of Evangelion. My Purest Heart for You /One More Final: I Need You" (Remade Episode 26) This movie is new. Totally. In fact, until I see it, I refuse to even acknowlege the existence of online movie scripts and spoilers. The stuff I have learned about EoE has only led to further anguish about bringing them to the States. I reccommend that if you haven't already read the movie script, DON'T! It will be more shocking that way. I haven't read the script, but just listen to The End of Evangelion Soundtrack CD. Particularly Komm, Susser Tod...

Death(True) is the re-edit of the Death segment of the movie and End of Evangelion showing together. Death(True) will be released in THEATERS in Japan in March. Direct from GAINAX:

The highly popular "NEON GENESIS EVANGELION" movies will be rereleased in March of 1998, as a single feature. The format will comprise "EVANGELION: DEATH (TRUE)", the DEATH segment of the Spring 1997 movie "DEATH AND REBIRTH", re-edited by director Masayuki, and "THE END OF EVANGELION".

This was taken from the Evangelion: Revelation Page. (Which, btw, hasn't been updated since October 12, 1997...)

The Evangelion Timetable

Evangelion: R
Evangelion: R is a fanfiction written by Orbit Productions. The story itself is one of the best fanfictions I have ever read, and _I_ consider it art. R ignores the Eva movies and continues the Evangelion storyline to Episode 52. The quality is astounding, and it is almost as if GAINAX themselves wrote it. A lot of effort has been put into this site, as you can tell by the meticulously constructed pictures and CGI movies. R is not affiliated with GAINAX, but after reading most of the episodes, you will begin to wish they were. Two thumbs up!!
